At Maternal Mind, our mission is to provide unwavering support for mums in the perinatal period and beyond. We understand the challenges of motherhood and the impact it can have on mental health, self-esteem, and identity. Through our tailored programs and compassionate approach, we aim to support mums on a journey of self-discovery, self-awareness, and empowerment.
Hi I’m Corrina and I’m here to support and empower you to navigate the complexities and emotional rollercoaster of parenthood through a journey of self-discovery and acceptance.
I aim to help you uncover your parenting strengths and rediscover your personal skills and qualities, enabling you to recognise and value yourself as a mum but also as an individual.
I’m a Psychologist and a Parent-Infant Therapist with over 20 years experience supporting families. I'm also Mum to 3 boys so can personally relate to the challenges of parenting 3 very different children, the oldest of which is now 16! For the past 3 years I’ve been working for Mind helping women in the perinatal period to overcome mental health challenges and build their confidence so they can be the mum they want to be. My Maternal Mind programme contains a variety of tools and techniques designed to lower anxiety, improve low mood and increase your self-esteem and confidence. The sessions are personalised to enable you to identify and achieve your own goals, focusing on maternal wellness and building your resilience, enabling you to find peace and balance in motherhood.
I’m passionate about giving children the best start in life and I believe this begins with helping you as a mother to feel good about yourself. We all love our babies, sometimes that bond needs time to strengthen and develop, particularly after a difficult pregnancy or birth, but that’s ok. If you need support to move beyond a difficult birth my Birth Trauma Recovery sessions can help you and my Bonding with Baby sessions will help you to understand your baby’s communication and their individual traits so you can respond intuitively to meet their needs.
We all want to do our best for our children but with so much information and advice it can be confusing and overwhelming – we want to do the right thing but what is the right thing? In my Positive Parenting service I offer 2 therapeutic techniques that enable you to better understand your child which in turn will help you to manage their behaviour and enjoy time together.
